I went online yesterday to see what other district Toastmasters speakers bureaus were doing and it seems that the average length of talk that was being offered to the public was 30 minutes. Therefore, even though I probably have more material than needed for a half hour motivational talk right now, I’m going to bring the version I offer to my district’s Toastmasters speakers bureau to 30 minutes but a tight one. I’m probably going to limit this talk to adult only audiences since I don’t feel like presenting this speech to students at schools with the exception of maybe college and universities. My motivational talk has content that is aimed at people who have lived life for awhile and I don’t consider school kids to be in that category yet.
