Useful Dating Tips
I’ve been watching some episodes of the reality TV show Millionaire Matchmaker where millionaires use the services of a matchmaker named Patti Stanger to hopefully find them the love of their lives. Although the show as well as its host is pretty over the top, there are actually some very useful dating tips if you watch carefully.
Patti Stanger can be quite brutal when she is screening candidates as potential dates for her clients and she is equally brutal at times with her clients. However, if you read between the lines, there is good advice as she is always honest about how to improve one’s attractiveness for potential dates.
One interesting thing I found about the Millionaire Matchmaker show is that when I was watching the various millionaires on their first dates, you kind of already know just who is going to blow it and not get a second date. This shows that the girls (and guys) will value character much over money itself.
You can sense it when one of these millionaires is making a real faux pas either in the choice of first date activity, the type of conversation used or some personality flaw that needs to be corrected. A very interesting thing I observed is that it doesn’t matter whether it was a male millionaire or the odd female millionaire that is sometimes presented in the show. It also doesn’t matter whether the dating couple is straight or gay.
The same type of mistakes that people make in dating seem to be quite universal across both the straight and gay worlds. So this is why I think the Millionaire Matchmaker is useful for everyone if single as well as those who are already in couples but perhaps in stale relationships.
There was even one recent show featuring a motivational speaker as one of the millionaire clients and he was clearly blowing it big time as far as dating was concerned. This shows that even us motivational speakers are not always the experts in relationships!
