Personal Development Blogs
One of the ways I like to keep updated is to follow blogs and in the personal development field, I follow some particular blogs out there. Here are two that I added to my Google Reader – Zen Habits and Online Motivator.
Zen Habits By Leo Babauta
Zen Habits is a great blog that covers a wide variety of things from personal development to health and all things in between related to self improvement of some kind. It was created by Leo Babauta, originally from Guam and now based in San Francisco. In addition to the no-nonsense, practical advice that Leo writes up, I really like the variety of topics that he covers.
Online-Motivator by Ricardo Patrocinio
The other personal development blog I will mention here is Online-Motivator which is a completely different type of blog altogether. Instead of being mostly text based like Zen Habits, Online-Motivator is primarily video based and put together by Ricardo Patrocinio of Portugal. Ricardo manages to find all sorts of interesting and entertaining short videos of inspirational people from well known personalities like Joe Vitale and Jim Rohn to others who are less well known but equally inspiring with their messages.
Use Google Reader To Easily Follow All Your Blogs
Since I like to follow a lot of blogs in several different main areas in addition to personal development, it can get rather crazy and time consuming to get into each blog individually to see what’s new all the time. So I utilize the technology of RSS feeds which all of these blogs have and add them to my Google Reader, a free software program from Google.
With Google Reader, I can see all the most recent posts from all of the blogs I follow on the same webpage at the same time without having to go into each separate blog individually. This is a real time saver for me.
If you want to know how to use Google Reader, I shot a video tutorial on how I add RSS feeds from blogs I follow into the system. This tutorial was actually a special episode of my Motivational WebTV series. If you missed this episode or need a review on how to use the software program, just go to my Google Reader Tutorial episode.
