Motivational Quotes
Here are the various motivational quotes I posted to my Motivation Facebook page during week 4 this month.
“Action is the antidote to despair.” ~ Joan Baez
”Don’t wish it were easier, wish you were better.” ~ Jim Rohn
“You cannot expect to achieve new goals or move beyond your present circumstances unless you change.” ~ Les Brown
“The Wright brothers flew right through the smoke screen of impossibility.” – Charles F. Kettering
”The only real stumbling block is fear of failure. You’ve got to have a what-the-hell attitude.” – Julia Child
“No matter what your heartache may be, laughing helps you forget it for a few seconds.” – Red Skelton
It was nice to see a quote above by Les Brown. I remember sitting in a talk by Les Brown in Toronto many years ago. In fact, it was my very first attendance at a live event by a motivational speaker and he certainly had some things in his talk that influenced me over the years. Here are some other motivational quotes that were posted as well.
“Ask yourself what makes you come alive….and go do that!” ~ Aaron Hoopes
”Life is a unique combination of ‘want to’ and ‘how to’, and we need to give equal attention to both.” – Jim Rohn
”Skill and confidence are an unconquered army.” – George Herbert
”Few are those who see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts.” – Albert Einstein
“Character is more important than intelligence for success.” ~ Gilberte Beaux
“Heaven never helps the man who will not act.” ~ Sophocles
The last of the above motivational quotes is especially profound to me since it strongly suggests to the religiously faithful that praying alone for things is not enough. Things like good health, money and other wishes we have in life will not just come to us simply because we prayed for these things. We must take action towards achieving goals.
I will of course be posting more motivational quotes this coming week at my Motivation Facebook page and if you would like these to show up as they are posted day by day, hit the Like button to this Facebook page.
