Motivation Statement Summary
Here’s the motivation statement summary for the inspiration quotations posted at my Facebook Motivation page during the last week or so of March.
“The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good.” ~ Samuel Johnson
”Make what you’re doing today important, because you’re trading a day of your life for it.” ~ Unknown
“When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself.” ~ Wayne Dyer
“We could all use a little coaching. When you’re playing the game, it’s hard to think of everything.” – Jim Rohn
”You can’t expect people to look eye to eye with you if you are looking down on them.” – Anonymous
I love the second one above from the first set of inspiration quotations. We can’t get our days back so we should make each one count to the fullest. Here is the rest of the motivation statement summary.
“You see things and you say, ‘Why?’ But I dream things that never were and I say, ‘Why not?’” ~ George Bernard Shaw
“Live out of your imagination, not your history.” ~ Stephen Covey
”There is nothing so fatal to character as half-finished tasks.” – David Lloyd George
”Fear is a priceless education.” – Lance Armstrong
”Empty pockets never held anyone back. Only empty heads and empty hearts can do that.” – Norman Vincent Peale
”An hour of play discovers more than a year of conversation does.” ~ Portuguese proverb
The last one above is a curious one. I think it suggests that in order to really get to know people, getting them in a state of play whether in a golf game, tennis game, or even playing board games or at play with dogs, really brings out their true nature and character. When we are at play, we are not as restricted in our usual ways and that’s when we are the most open to others.
