Inspirational Messages Posted
Here are the inspirational messages posted at my Motivation Facebook page for the final week of August.
“If you step on people in this life, you’re going to come back as a cockroach.” ~ Willie Davis
“Life is a succession of lessons which must be lived to be understood.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
“I don’t think much of a man who is not wiser today than he was yesterday.” – Abraham Lincoln
“Excellence is doing ordinary things extraordinarily well.” – John W. Gardner
“Winning isn’t everything, but wanting to win is.” ~ Vince Lombardi
The first of the above inspirational messages by Willie Davis is very worthwhile to keep in mind especially in these days where it’s so easy to lose track of our interpersonal skills because so many people are spending time online instead of face to face. It really is people skills that matter.
There’s absolutely no reason to look down on anybody, especially those who are in less fortunate circumstances compared to us. It’s our service to others and how we treat people that will determine how we in turn will be judged.
Here are the other inspirational messages I posted last week.
“Telling an individual with a dream to seek a nice secure job is like telling a Lion in the jungle to seek a nice secure Zoo!” ~ Orrin Woodward
“Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway.” – John Wayne
“All virtue is summed up in dealing justly.” – Aristotle
“If you don’t ask, you don’t get.” – Mohandas Gandhi
“Consider calling it a challenge rather than a crisis.” ~ Mary Anne Radmacher
“Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something you design for the present.” – Jim Rohn
I love the John Wayne quote from the above set of inspirational messages. It’s ironic because I just happened to see the original True Grit movie from 1969 which is the film he won an Oscar for. But it’s so neat to see a quote with a western cowboy theme. Of course, this quote can be easily applied to the rest of us in day to day life.
