Failing School Exam Dream

School Exam Dream

It’s weird but I sometimes get this dream that I went back to either high school or university to take more courses.  For some reason, it’s always going back to take an additional diploma or degree rather than the original school setting I went to in real life.  I would then be walking into this class, probably some sort of math class, that I’ve skipped many classes in.  The teachers wouldn’t care about my absense since I’m now an adult learner, not some teenager whose attendance is tracked.

Then I would be taking an exam and because I’ve skipped so many classes and didn’t bother studying enough, I would be sitting there realizing that I couldn’t answer a single question.   So this would be the regular failing school exam dream that I’ve had for years.

When I’m flunking my butt on the exam, that’s when I usually wake up from my dream and feeling reassured that yes, in real life, my school exam days are definitely over as I finished my MBA back in 1985.

Others Get School Exam Dream Too

You want to hear something else that’s really weird?  My brother told me the other week that he also gets a similar dream where he didn’t study enough for some exam or test.  Looks like I’m not the only one who gets this school exam dream.  I have no idea of the significance of this dream since I’m not a dreams analyst.  I know that my Lhasa Apso dogs also dream too as sometimes I can hear them.  Wonder if they are dreaming about failing some sort of dog obedience training test too.

What about you?  Do you ever get this type of dream where you are writing some sort of school exam or test and you are failing it big time?  If so, I would love to hear about it in the comments section below.

By the way, when my dream is set in the high school environment, one of the other classes that I skip pretty well for the entire semester is gym class.  Now in real life, I certainly won’t be skipping gym class!
