Business Speaker
As a business speaker for corporate and small business audiences in addition to my duties as a motivational and diversity speaker, I’ve noticed that there are a lot of people with all sorts of interesting little enterprises out there but could use some polishing up in terms of their selling skills to customers and clients. After all, one way to gauge this is through your own dealings with small business people in your own neighbourhood.
Think of the folks that you interact with in your local shopping malls from the grocery cashier to the hardware store associate to the small outfit trying to land your landscaping or renovations business. Or maybe the folks in the print shop or the retail clothing stores. What about the sales people trying to sell you a home alarm system or the ones helping you sort out the various gardening or fishing supplies for the summer. How would you rate the experience you had with them as a customer or client?
Business Speaker Can Help With Small Business Owners
I’m sure that some of these small business people and their staff were pretty good but I’m also sure that you’ve seen your share of really awful sales people like the ones who start rambling off all sorts of technical mumbo jumbo at the electronics store to try and impress you with their knowledge while all they are really doing is confusing you. I’ve bumped into a lot of those! Try shopping for a computer and see how much techno you will be bombarded with.
Then I realize that many small businesses have never been formally trained in sales techniques and their staff have pretty well zero selling skills. As a business speaker with a long corporate sales background in the pharmaceutical industry and who has gone through many formal sales seminars, I would be in a position to help many of these small business owners.
If this is an area that you would like me to go a little deeper into by putting up some articles and maybe videos on selling techniques for small businesses, just let me know. This is an area that I’m very comfortable with after all those years in sales.
One of the things that I will explore this summer is the feasibility of an intensive sales seminar especially for small business owners and their staff who must do some sort of sales presentation to potential customers and clients.
In the meantime, if you are with a sales force with a company who can use a business speaker for an upcoming sales meeting, I am available to be your motivational sales speaker. Just see my business motivational speaker webpage for details on my talks for the business audience.
