Business Speaker Developing New Sales Presentation
As I mentioned yesterday in my post about airplanes as places for self improvement productivity, I did manage to use my transit time this week quite effectively. I had to fly from Buffalo, New York to Philadelphia then to Columbia, South Carolina where I was a college diversity business speaker at the University of South Carolina.
On the way back, I flew from Columbia to Charlotte, North Carolina and then back to Buffalo. Of course, I had to drive from Toronto to Buffalo and back. There were lots of waiting around in the airport terminals as well as time in my hotel room so I used all this time to my advantage.
Since I’m free of distractions in airplanes, airports and hotel rooms, I went down to this trip with some plans to work on a few things. As mentioned in a past episode of Motivational WebTV where I revealed my best places for planning, I was able to really focus on my tasks during my travel.
Business Speaker Sales Keynote
One of my tasks was to possible develop a new keynote that is targeted specifically for sales forces and small business people who need to develop skills in sales for their businesses. Sales is one of my main areas of expertise given my long career in pharmaceutical sales.
And since people who work in sales and those who are entrepreneurs constantly also need motivation, I decided to combine elements from my motivation keynote with elements from my sales background to create a new sales presentation keynote.
I managed to design the general framework of this new business speaker program and will take the next while to flush out the exact content which will be some really interesting real life case examples from my own pharmaceutical sales background. These cases will highlight different sales skills and concepts that can apply to any industry or field. So in a way, the sales aspect of this new presentation will be based on selling drugs, which will raise a few eyebrows for sure!
This new keynote presentation will be an additional one to be offered in my speaker programs section for Corporate Business and Associations. Stay tuned for more news on its development.
