We are going to Brockville to dive the weekend there on the St Lawrence Seaway which is one of the best scuba diving locations in Ontario. The water is usually warmer than both Georgian Bay and Lake Ontario since it’s a river. This trip will involve one overnight stay in Brockville.
Divers are welcome to bring their non-diving family members as they can check out Brockville town or hang out at shore while we dive.
Trip Itinerary
Saturday August 24, 2024

These are some of the best shore dive sites in Ontario where the wrecks and sculptures are super interesting with opportunities to see some big fish. Since we’ll be doing only shore dives as a group, our diving costs will be minimal. Dive Brockville Adventure Centre also runs some boat charter trips (which are not cheap) and if you are interested, just go to Brockville either a day early or stay later. As a group, we won’t be doing these charter trips.
Here are some videos of past dives we did in Brockville.
Accommodations
In the past, our divers have stayed at the Travelodge, Days Inn and Super 8 in Brockville. The summer months are quite busy and room rates do go up towards summer so best to check for rates now and book your rooms well in advance.
VERY IMPORTANT = all our group divers MUST complete a liability waiver form in advance which covers you for the entire 2024 dive season (download at link, sign and send back to us or bring it to your first dive). Divers who do not sign this liability waiver form will not be diving with our group this season.
Also, don’t be late as we will not be waiting for any latecomers after 15 minutes past the posted start time. We will start the dive without you. Best to get there early to get a parking spot.
If you are planning to come to this dive event, please indicate so in the comments section below

I’ll Be there for both days.
i have booked my stay at – Travelodge by Wyndham Brockville
I’ll be there for both days. I am booked into the Travelodge.
Deep booked a hotel room with two beds so if anyone wants to cut costs and share rooms, contact him. He might be able to carpool from Mississauga too.
For our first dive site, Rothesay Dive Site is actually on Google Maps. You can bypass Brockville to get there by taking 401 directly to Prescott and go south all the way to #2 road along the St Lawrence river. Rothesay is a bit west of Prescott and you will see a dive symbol on the change room/washroom along the road where you can park. See you all there.
I’m going to try and do both afternoon dives on a single tank so that no refills needed for next morning as we switch to a second tank. Otherwise Brockville Scuba will be there for refills if needed. Prescott shore dive (another site) doesn’t look that great with only two anchors and a small boat wreck – kind of like Humber. But I’ll be open to doing a night dive at the sculptures if there is interest. Any last minute updates on Saturday once we are all on the road, I’ll text. If any communication with me needed, just text and I’ll get to it whenever I have a chance to stop enroute. Don’t phone me as I do not answer phones nor texts while driving. For Saturday dinner, it’s walking distance from our hotel to Chuck’s Roadhouse and Mexicana Rosi. See everybody at Rothesay dive site and drive safe.
