Scuba Diving At Welland Scuba Park – CANCELLED

We bring back Welland Scuba Park as part of our dive season with this special two dives outing. The first dive will be at Welland Scuba Park (on Google Maps) where free parking is just steps away from a nice floating dock where we gear up. On this dive we’ll past sunken cars, a mini-submarine as well as the highlight which is a shipwreck at 35 feet depth filled with fish in season. After this dive, we’ll drive five minutes over to the second dive at the Swing Bridge which is an old railway bridge also with fish life and similar water depth.

This is a long day trip for our northern based divers but totally worth it for the two dives which are very special due to the fish life. Plus both dives are relatively shallow so depending on air consumption, some divers might be able to complete both dives with a single tank of air.
Directions to Welland Scuba Park
- take QEW towards Ste Catharines and exit highway 406 south to Welland
- exit to East Main Street in Welland turning right as 406 ends
- turn left to go south on Crowland Ave
- turn right on Lincoln St and continue past McDonald’s and over the Welland Canal bridge
- immediately crossing the bridge turn left into Welland Scuba Park/Rotary Park and go all the way down to dock
Since these are open water dives, this event is for certified scuba divers only. Those who are not certified yet should do Discover Scuba or take the full certification course.
VERY IMPORTANT = all our group divers MUST complete a liability waiver form in advance which covers you for the entire dive season (download at link, sign and send back to us or bring it to your first dive). Divers who do not sign this liability waiver form will not be diving with our group this season.
Also, don’t be late as we will not be waiting for any latecomers after 15 minutes past the posted start time. We will start the dive without you. Best to get there early to get a parking spot.

Unfortunately I won’t be able to make this one as I am away camping with my son at Starfest. This is an astronomy convention north of Mount Forest that we have been going to since 2002.
Sorry Clint. Change in plans. I won’t be able to make it to Welland.
We have cancelled diving for this weekend and will resume next weekend at Cedar
