2024 Scuba Diving Season Off To Good Start

Even though I started my own scuba diving season down in warm tropical waters of Little Cayman in May, our dive group is off to a good start up here in Ontario. We started our first cold water dives in 7 degrees C at Cedar Hill Park and Shanty Bay with decent visibility but less than stellar fish life. But at warmer waters off Welland we hit 16 C with lousy visibility but great fish life while introducing four of our divers to Welland Scuba Park and the Swing Bridge for their first dives ever there.

At Shanty Bay

We had some hiccups in our scheduling for our Brockville dive weekend but hopefully we sorted things out after juggling some dive days around. We’ll continue to make it down to Humber Bay during long weekend Saturdays when there should be less dive students present and our night dive at Shanty Bay on a long weekend Monday night is still a go. We plan to return back to Welland in August if there is enough diver interest and our Northern Dive weekend can be modified depending on diver interest as well. See our dive schedule at the Events section on this website. Meanwhile enjoy the new videos we produced so far this dive season.

Many thanks to divers Dean Millar, Greg Grinter (who was also videographer), Tyler Knight, Prash Raghavan and Ronnie Chan for coming out so far this season. Hope to see more of you out there and look for our new Cedar Hill Park dive video.
