Motivational Phrases On Facebook
Here are the motivational phrases I posted at my Motivation Facebook page last week.
“The supreme accomplishment is to blur the line between work & play.” – Arnold Toynbee
”Show me a thoroughly satisfied man and I will show you a failure.” ~ Thomas Edison
”If you wait for the perfect moment when all is safe and assured, it may never arrive.” ~ Maurice Chevalier
”I’d rather be a failure in something that I love than a success in something that I hate.” – George Burns
It’s interesting how both motivational phrases above by George Burns and Arnold Toynbee suggest similar ideas. That is, they stress the importance of doing what you love in your work and life. I’ve personally experienced this myself over the years. In the past, I was working in fields which earned me good money but if I didn’t actually enjoy what I was doing, the work itself was not very fulfilling. When I moved into areas that I enjoyed more, the activities became much less like work.

Again, more good motivational phrases from above but the one by Seth Godin really stands out for me. Next time if I ever get anxious about anything, I will just remember that it’s a waste of my energy to do so and move on with it.
