Inspirational Thoughts Posted
Here are the inspirational thoughts I posted on my Motivation Facebook page for August week 4.
“You don’t have to see the whole staircase, you just have to take the first step.”~ Martin Luther King, Jr
“A wise man will make more opportunities than he finds.” ~ Sir Francis Bacon
“There is no education like adversity.” – Benjamin Disraeli
“Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward.” ~ Princess Diana
“Always desire to learn something useful.” ~ Sophocles
“If you don’t have any loyalty to what you are doing, you ought not be doing it.” – Tom Harding
I love the inspirational thoughts above particularly the one by Benjamin Disraeli that is so short and sweet plus impactful. Too often we all want to shy away from adversity as if it’s a bad word. But in reality, if we go in with an attitude that adversity can be a great teacher, then we will be more positive towards any such events that come up in our lives.
Here are the other inspirational thoughts I posted last week
“Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed on an equal or greater benefit.” – Napoleon Hill
“Victory is always possible for the person who refuses to stop fighting.” ~ Napoleon Hill
“There is a way to look at the past. Don’t hide from it. It will not catch you — if you don’t repeat it.” – Pearl Bailey
“Hanging onto resentment is letting someone you despise live rent-free in your head.” ~ Ann Landers
“Anything I’ve done that was ultimately worthwhile initially scared me to death.” – Betty Bender
Again, the second set of inspirational thoughts above are equally profound as the first set. I really like the last one by Betty Bender as it reminds us that anything worthwhle doing is hard, uncomfortable and scary. If it wasn’t, then the reward will usually not be that significant. Only those who dare to do things that initially scare them a bit will reap the huge rewards.
